Tristan is well known in the television world as ‘a rising star’. Basically this tag has been added to him because of the fact that he started acting at the age of seven. Even though he was acting from the age of seven he started his professional career in 2005, at the age of sixteen. He made his first television appearance in a miniseries “Miracle’s Boys” on “The N”. His future co-star on “The Wire”, Julito McCullum was also a part of this miniseries. Tristan was a part of “The Wire” from 2006-2008 and till date this is his most famous role on television besides ‘90210′. When this show ended, he joined workshop of Wool for The Roundabout Theatre Company, where he worked with Phylicia Rashad. Tristan also played a role opposite Ryan Gosling in the movie named “Half Nelson”, which was recently shown at the Sundance Film Festival.

Besides television, Tristan can be seen in Jay-Z’s video “Roc Boys”, the American Gangster Album named “the nephew”, in Lil Flip’s music video “Ghetto Mindstate” and Alicia Keys’ video “Teenage Love Affair”

Apart from music videos and TV series, he has worked in the film adaptation of the book by Sue Monk Kidd, entitled “The Secret Life of Bees”. He was also seen in a video clip named “The Muzzler” encouraging people to register to vote alongside Jessica Alba and Hayden Panettiere.

Most recently he can be seen in “90210″, where he plays the role of Dixon Wilson, the adopted older brother of Annie Wilson.

There is a buzz that he’s going to star in George Lucas’ new film about the Tuskegee Airmen and the filming of his new project will begin in 2009.

Role in ‘90210′

In the series ‘90210 Tv show ‘ Tristan plays the role of Dixon Wilson. He is Debby and Harry’s adopted son and Annie’s older brother. Both he and Annie go to Beverly Hills high school. Dixon is famous in his school as a sports personality and also a scholar. Despite being siblings he shares a cordial relation with his sister, Annie and both of them are more like best friends. Like all others he too is not able to adjust at Beverly Hills at first, when the family moves in. Usually he is taken as a smart bad boy in his school, because of his attitude. Later in the series he develops a liking for his sister’s best friend Silver and soon they start going around with each other.
